Xiaomi India's President, Muralikrishnan B, who played a pivotal role in steering the company's operations, services, public affairs, and strategic initiatives, on Tuesday, stepped down from his position.
Before being appointed the president of the smartphone OEM in India, Muralikrishnan served as Xiaomi India's Chief Operating Officer, where he managed the company's sales, service networks, and operational framework.
"Under Murali's leadership, Xiaomi has seen exceptional success in India, continuing to be a key player in the technology landscape and connecting millions to innovative products. We deeply appreciate his contribution, and our commitment to India's growth journey remains stronger than ever" Adam Zeng, Senior Vice President and President of International Business Department, Xiaomi Global, told Acko Byte in a statement.
Reflecting on his journey at Xiaomi India, Murali said: "My experience at Xiaomi India has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career. His professional journey began at Asian Paints, where he was an area manager overseeing sales operations, forecasting, and dealer relationships.
Muralikrishnan's career path includes notable positions at several industry leaders, including executive roles at Sify Ltd, Tata Communications, and eBay Inc. He also contributed his expertise to India's e-commerce sector through leadership positions at fashion retailers Jabong and Myntra.
