The new Redmi A4 5G comes in two storage variants, with the base 64GB model priced at Rs 8,499.
In a bid to democratise 5G, Xiaomi on Wednesday launched its budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi A4 5G, in India. The device, starting at an aggressive price point of Rs 8,499 (which includes offers), aims to make high-speed connectivity accessible under Rs 10,000.

The new Redmi A4 5G comes in two storage variants, with the base 64GB model priced at Rs 8,499 and the 128GB model at Rs 9,499. The device is available through multiple channels, including Mi's online store, Amazon India, Xiaomi retail outlets, and authorised partners across India.
The Chinese handset maker has made the Redmi A4 5G impressive with a 6.88-inch HD+ display with 120Hz of refresh rate. It comes with a Halo Glass design, and incorporates a circular camera module and glass-finished back panel, thus, offering a premium look.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor, the smartphone claims to deliver reliable 5G performance. The device offers 4GB RAM, expandable up to 8GB via virtual technology, ensuring smooth multitasking.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, while a standard 3.5mm headphone jack will cater to audio enthusiasts.
There is a 50MP primary camera, capable of time-lapse and portrait photography. A 5MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. The device houses a robust 5,160mAh battery supporting 18W fast charging, with Xiaomi including a 33W charger in the box.
The Redmi A4 5G comes with IP52 protection, offering basic resistance against dust and water splashes, adding durability to its impressive feature set.
