Yulu has surpassed 1 billion kilometres of rides in Bengaluru, highlighting strong growth in shared EV mobility, driven by rising demand for last-mile commuting and e-commerce delivery services.
Yulu has crossed 1 billion kilometres of rides on its shared electric vehicle platform in Bengaluru, underlining the rapid growth of last-mile mobility solutions in the city.
The company currently operates a fleet of around 22,500 electric two-wheelers in Bengaluru, serving both short-distance commuters and delivery partners. According to company data, the fleet supports nearly 300,000 deliveries per day and has enabled approximately 190 million deliveries since operations began in the city.
The milestone comes at a time when demand for quick-commerce and e-commerce logistics continues to rise. Electric two-wheelers are increasingly being adopted for last-mile deliveries, driven by their lower operating costs and suitability for high-frequency, short-distance usage. Industry observers consider this segment a key catalyst for EV adoption in urban India.
Yulu’s growth also reflects the broader role of shared EV platforms in addressing urban mobility challenges such as congestion, pollution and affordability. By offering flexible, on-demand mobility options, such platforms are becoming an integral part of city transport ecosystems.
The company estimates that its Bengaluru operations have helped avoid around 27 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions. While these figures are based on internal calculations, they align with the wider push towards cleaner mobility solutions.
Beyond Bengaluru, Yulu operates in cities including Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Hyderabad. Across these markets, the company has deployed a combined fleet of about 46,000 EVs, which have cumulatively covered nearly 2 billion kilometres.
Looking ahead, Yulu plans to expand its Bengaluru fleet to between 35,000 and 40,000 vehicles over the next year, as demand from both commuters and delivery partners continues to grow.
