There is a grace period of 30 days from the date of expiry to get your DL renewed by paying the required fee. However, if it is after the 30 days grace period, you need to pay the required late fee and renew the DL. Also, if the DL has expired for more than 5 years, you may have to reappear for the driving test before your DL can be renewed.
Is it mandatory for a driving licence applicant to submit a medical certificate?
No, it is not mandatory for the DL applicant to submit a medical certificate. However, for those more than 50 years old, they will have to submit the medical certificate. Also, all applicants for a commercial driving licence will have to produce their medical certificate
Can I obtain an international driving licence from the Thiruvananthapuram RTO office?
