Tata Nexon is a compact SUV that comes with an attractive coupe-inspired design, premium features and good build quality. The Indian automaker launched the Tata Nexon facelift on September 14, 2023. The Tata Nexon facelift features a completely revamped exterior design. In fact, it looks like an entirely new generation of the SUV, although it is based on the same platform. The front fascia of the SUV features sleek LED DRLs, which double up as cool-looking swiping turn indicator The LED projector headlamps and fog lamps are mounted on the beefy bumper. The front profile of the Nexon facelift looks radically different from the outgoing model.
The side profile of the Nexon facelift remains the same, with flared wheel arches and body cladding. However, it gets new alloy wheels. The top-spec models feature 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, increasing the SUV's premium quotient. The rear profile of the Nexon facelift will make you go wow as it gets some fantastic elements compared to the outgoing model. It features a new LED tail light design with a connecting light bar across the tailgate. It also gets a chunky spoiler, which hides the rear wiper. The rear bumper has black cladding elements and a faux skid plate.
The Nexon facelift’s interior has also received a significant overhaul. Practicality, quality, and tech have improved a notch. It features a clean-looking dashboard with horizontal lines, slim AC vents, and a floating touchscreen infotainment system. The major highlight of the cabin is the new flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo.
The Nexon has comfortable seats, and the top-spec models also get ventilated front seats. The seats provide adequate support, and the rear and front passengers have enough headroom and legroom. The Tata Nexon is available with a petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine in question is the 1.2-litre turbocharged (Revotron) engine that produces 118.2 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre turbocharged (Revotorq) diesel engine is good for 113.3 Bhp and 260 Nm of torque.
Both engines come with a 6-speed manual or an AMT transmission. With the Nexon facelift, Tata Motors has introduced the 7-speed DCA and a 5-speed manual transmission for the petrol engine.
The Nexon comes with three driving modes: Sport, City and Eco. Sport mode is the best bet if you wish to extract the maximum performance out of the car. The Nexon is a good highway car as it can easily reach triple-digit speeds, and overtaking should not be a problem.
The Tata Nexon's top speed is approximately 180 km/h. This performance metric varies slightly depending on the specific variant and engine configuration.
