Maruti Suzuki has rolled out significant updates for the Grand Vitara SUV for the 2025 model year, aligning its offerings more closely with the recently refreshed Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The updated Grand Vitara lineup now includes a more affordable strong hybrid variant, enhanced standard safety features, and the addition of an automatic transmission option for the all-wheel-drive variant. Prices for the 2025 Grand Vitara start at ₹11.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Trim | Grand Vitara Petrol MT | Grand Vitara Petrol AT | Grand Vitara AWD AT | Grand Vitara e-CVT |

Sigma | ₹11.42 lakh | NA | NA | NA |
Delta | ₹12.53 lakh | ₹13.93 lakh | NA | NA |
Delta+ | NA | NA | NA | ₹16.99 lakh |
Zeta | ₹14.67 lakh | ₹16.07 lakh | NA | NA |
Zeta (O) | ₹15.27 lakh | ₹16.67 lakh | NA | NA |
Alpha | ₹16.14 lakh | ₹17.54 lakh | ₹19.04 lakh | NA |
Alpha (O) | ₹16.74 lakh | ₹18.14 lakh | ₹19.64 lakh | NA |

Zeta+ (O) | NA | NA | NA | ₹19.20 lakh |
Alpha+ | NA | NA | NA | ₹19.92 lakh |
Alpha+ (O) | NA | NA | NA | ₹20.52 lakh |
A key highlight of the 2025 update is the introduction of the Delta+ trim for the strong hybrid powertrain. Previously available only on the higher-end Zeta+ and Alpha+ trims, the strong hybrid now has a lower entry point at ₹16.99 lakh. This marks a ₹1.59 lakh reduction from the earlier starting price of ₹18.58 lakh for a hybrid Grand Vitara, making the technology more accessible to a wider customer base.
Maruti Suzuki has also replaced the 5-speed manual gearbox in the all-wheel-drive (AWD) petrol variant with a new 6-speed automatic transmission. This move enhances the drivability of the AWD version and brings it more in line with urban user preferences for automatic options, especially in higher variants.
Another major revision is in the safety department. The updated Grand Vitara now offers six airbags as standard across all trims. This is a notable upgrade from the previous setup, where only the higher trims received six airbags, while the base Sigma and Delta variants were equipped with just two. Additional standard safety equipment includes an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Comfort and convenience have also been upgraded, although Maruti Suzuki has not specified which features are tied to which trim levels. Among the newly added features are an 8-way powered driver’s seat, an electronic parking brake (for automatic variants), an air purifier with a PM2.5 display, LED cabin lighting, and rear window sunshades. A new design for the 17-inch alloy wheels has also been introduced.
The panoramic sunroof, previously standard on the Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+, and Alpha+ trims, is now available as a paid option priced at ₹60,000.
The Grand Vitara continues to be offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 102 bhp and 137 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 5-speed manual or the new 6-speed automatic gearbox, including an AWD variant paired with the automatic. The second option is the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder strong hybrid, which generates a combined 114 bhp and is paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission.
Other available features on the Grand Vitara include a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging and connectivity, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, and ventilated front seats.
