Primary updates include modern features like colour TFT screen and all-LED lighting
Yamaha has updated the Aerox 155 for the Indonesian market with a new Alpha version. The core of the sporty scooter remains more or less the same with the key areas of improvement arriving in the features department.
The Aerox 155 gets all-LED lighting with a twin projector LED headlight setup. The scooter gets funkier colours with a Alpha Turbo trim sporting a thrilling dark grey/red combo. While some of these new colour schemes are synonymous with Yamaha’s racing lineage, some options are really out there. And we hope that some of them do make it to our shores.
Additionally, there is a brand new colour TFT screen with the Y-connect smartphone app finally unlocking turn-by-turn navigation. This would be a welcome addition to the Indian iteration of the scooter as the current negative LCD screen is extremely difficult to read in daylight.
On the engine front, Yamaha has not upped the performance. However, there are two riding modes (T and S) and three different versions of CVT operation to choose from. T-mode will make the scooter a bit mellow and calm for city operation and S would be best suited for getting max thrills. The settings can be toggled via a special Turbo button on the left hand side.

Currently, the Aerox 155 is priced in India between ₹1.48 lakh - ₹1.51 lakh (ex-showroom India). If these updates were to make it to the Indian version of the scooter, we expect prices to go up around ₹5000.
