Ashok Leyland has launched India's first air suspension truck range, featuring three AVTR models in 45T, 46T, and 49T segments that offer up to a 4-tonne payload advantage.
Ashok Leyland has officially announced the launch of India's first range of trucks equipped with advanced air suspension. The Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group has introduced three breakthrough multi-axle vehicle (MAV) models designed to deliver best-in-class payload capability, minimal impact on initial acquisition costs, and premium operating efficiency.
The newly unveiled lineup is anchored by the AVTR 4925 10x2 MAV, which stands as the first 49-tonne truck in the country to feature an air suspension setup, providing transport operators with a substantial payload advantage of up to 1.5 tonnes. Accompanying the flagship model are the AVTR 4625 10x2 MAV and the AVTR 4525 8x2 MAV, representing the nation's first 46-tonne and 45-tonne air-suspended trucks respectively.
Both of these configurations deliver a massive weight-saving payload advantage of up to 4 tonnes, allowing fleet owners to improve their overall revenue potential per trip.

To meet diverse client demands, the manufacturer is offering the new range in both cowl and factory-built cabin variants alongside multiple loading span choices. Mechanically, the trucks bring a host of operational advantages, including enhanced vehicle stability in fully laden conditions, a major reduction in structural vibrations, and superior ride comfort over uneven road surfaces.
To further boost operating efficiency, Ashok Leyland has bundled Intelligent Vehicle Acceleration Control (iVAC) and Automatic Traction Control (ATC) as standard features across the entire range. These electronic systems work in tandem to support higher fuel efficiency and deliver superior tractive grip across challenging terrains.
