Force Motors Limited on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), for the Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme for the Delhi-NCR region. The pact is aimed at pushing the replacement of BS-IV and aging trucks and buses operating across Delhi-NCR with cleaner BS-VI-compliant or electric commercial vehicles.
The scheme is in line with the Centre’s bid to reduce vehicular emissions and address worsening air quality in Delhi-NCR.

The company will also provide the prescribed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) benefits to eligible customers.
Earlier in June, the Centre approved a ₹9,585 crore scheme aimed at phasing out ageing trucks and buses in the Delhi-NCR region, as part of efforts to address worsening air quality. Under the programme, owners of older trucks and buses registered in Delhi-NCR will be eligible for financial support if they scrap their vehicles at authorised facilities or sell them outside the region. To avail the benefits, these vehicles must be replaced with new or used BS-VI or electric models registered within the NCR.
