Suzuki India is all set to debut its first electric scooter soon at the Auto Expo 2025. While we are still awaiting for the official production-spec scooter to break cover, we have managed to get a few details of it before the unveiling.
Starting with the battery, the new Suzuki e-Access will be powered by a 3.07 kWh battery that will be good for a IDC-claimed range of 95 km. It comes paired to a 4.1 kW electric motor that produces a peak torque of 15 Nm and is good for a top speed of 71 kmph. The battery takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0-80 per cent, and 6 hours 42 minutes to get fully charged via a 240W portable charger. This charge time drops to 1 hour 12 mins and 2 hours 12 mins for the same scenarios via a fast charger.

The new Suzuki e-Access is based on a completely new platform that rests on telescopic fork at the front. For the rear it gets a swing arm type suspension. The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends with 90/90 section at the front and 100/80 section rubber for the rear. A disc/drum brake setup takes care of braking duties. At 122 kg, the e-Access is nearly on par with its e-scooter competitors. However, the 765 mm seat height should make it very accessible.
We don’t know much about the connectivity features it will be available with, however, all-LED lighting will be standard. So, stay tuned as we’ll finally get to see the scooter in the afternoon.
