In April 2024, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. registered a commendable performance with a notable surge in its overall auto sales. The company's sales figures reveal a growth trajectory that underscores its resilience and strategic positioning in the market. The homegrown company reported a total of 70,471 vehicles sold in April 2024, marking a substantial 13 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “We sold a total of 41,008 SUVs in April, a growth of 18 per cent and 70,471 total vehicles, a 13 per cent growth over last year.”
A standout highlight of M&M Ltd.'s performance is its growth in the utility vehicles segment. With 41,008 SUVs sold domestically, reporting an 18 per cent increase from the previous year, backed by strong orders for the XUV700, Scorpio-N and the Thar. Mahindra maintained a steady performance in commercial vehicles while the domestic sales of commercial vehicles reached 22,102 units, and exports witnessed a 2 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
