The drop in domestic sales comes at a time when the 2025 Suzuki Access has been launched.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) announced its sales performance for February, 2025. The Japanese two-wheeler giant registered 90,206 unit sales last month as opposed to 97,435 units it had managed in February, 2024, thereby registering a sales decline of 7.41 per cent. However, the good news is that exports witnessed a positive growth of 19 per cent as Suzuki exported 16,751 units last month in comparison to 14,131 in the corresponding month last year.

Commenting on the performance, Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President - Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “February sales reflect a mix of market dynamics with exports showing growth. Although the domestic sales witnessed a temporary slowdown, our focus remains on offering products that align with customers’ expectations while continuously improving the overall ownership experience for Suzuko two-wheeler riders.”

Suzuki would be expecting the February sales performance to be a minor blip in its journey as the company had sold over 1 lakh units last month. It had also recently launched the 2025 Suzuki Access and also unveiled its first electric scooter for the Indian market. The Japanese giant will be banking on the updated Access 125 to rejuvenate its sales performance in March, 2025.
