The four new launches at Auto Expo 2025 should make for a better 2025, though
Hero MotoCorp has begun the year on a slight back foot, selling 4,12,378 units in India, roughly 8,500 less than what it managed in the same month last year. The exports division did contribute to the overall positive feeling for the company, as Hero sold 4,42,873 units combined. The Vida V2 deliveries have commenced, with 6,669 units of the refreshed e-scooter already dispatched.
The Indian two-wheeler giant has been pretty quiet in the past few months when it comes to new bike launches. Top management shuffles could have also played a part for the lax approach to product arrivals. As a result, the sales performance hasn’t quite picked up.
Having said that, Hero did launch five new two-wheelers, four of them at Auto Expo 2025. The long overdue arrival of the Destini 125 took place prior to the Expo with the Xoom 125R and the Xoom 160 joining the ranks soon after.
Alongside the two Xooms, Hero also launched the larger XPulse 210 and Xtreme 250R motorcycles that it first showed at EICMA 2024. The adventure motorcycle aims to improve its versatility quotient by becoming a better tourer while the sporty naked claims to be the quickest in its segment. We hope to get a chance to get astride both of the bikes as well as the two scooters soon.
