Auto Sales June 2024: Toyota Kirloskar Motors Registers 40% Growth

Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 27,474 units in June 2024, registering a year-on-year growth of 40 per cent. Furthermore, this is the highest-ever sales recorded by Toyota in India. In the first six months of 2024, Toyota sold more than 1.5 lakh units which saw it grow 47 per cent compared to the same period last year. 

Sabari Manohar, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “Our product strategy and continued focus on offering a delightful ownership experience across all touchpoints allowed us to maintain a consistently strong performance. Beyond our strong presence in major cities, TKM has strategically increased its focus on rural areas, broadening our customer base and driving significant momentum.”

Domestic sales of Toyota accounted for 25,752 units, while exports tallied 1,722 units. Compared to May 2024, Toyota’s domestic sales grew by 7 per cent and exports grew by 31 per cent. Overall, sales of Toyota increased by 8 per cent compared to last month. 

Manohar mentioned that the sales success of the brand can be attributed to its strong SUV and MPV portfolio. Furthermore, he also mentioned that the sales of its latest product, the Urban Cruiser Taisor received twice the orders in June 2024, compared to the previous month.
