Auto Sales May 2023: Hyundai Records Cumulative Growth Of 16.26 Per Cent

Hyundai Motor India Ltd registered a domestic sales volume of 48,601 units and an export sales volume of 11,000 units with cumulative sales of 59,601 units for the month of May 2023. The company recorded an overall growth of 16.26 per cent as of May 2022 in which it registered 51,263 units. In the same period, the company sold 42,293 units, recording a hike of 14.91 per cent in May 2023 as against May 2022.

Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, "We are glad to announce a healthy double-digit sales growth for the month of May 2023 fuelled by our blockbuster SUVs, Hyundai Creta and Hyundai Venue. The recently launched all-new Hyundai VERNA again clocked strong numbers, while Hyundai EXTER, our soon-to-be-launched SUV, continues to ramp up excitement amongst customers in the SUV space.”

In April 2023, Hyundai registered a steady growth in its domestic sales selling 49,701 units as compared to 44,001 units sold in the same period last year, a growth of 12.9 per cent. Cumulatively, the company recorded marginal growth of 3.5 per cent, contributing to 58,201 units in April 2023, as compared to 56,201 units in April 2022.

At present, the company is readying for the launch of its smallest SUV, the Hyundai Exter to be positioned below the Hyundai Venue in the company’s India line-up.
