Auto Sales September 2024: Toyota Witnesses 14% Growth

Toyota sold 23,802 units in the domestic market and exported 3,045 units in September 2024. 

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) registered a healthy year-on-year (YoY) growth of 14 per cent, selling 26,847 units in September 2024. In September 2023, the automaker sold 23,590 units. 

Of the total sales last month, Toyota India sold 23,802 units in the domestic market, which is a 7 per cent increase compared to September 2023 (22,168 units). Compared to August 2024 when Toyota sold 28,589 units, September 2024 saw a decline of almost 17 per cent. 

Toyota Hyryder.jpgToyota exported 3,045 units in September 2024, witnessing a massive growth of 114 per cent compared to the same period last year (1,422 units). Compared to August 2024 (2,290 units), Toyota’s exports saw a growth of almost 33 per cent. 

Between April and September 2024, Toyota sold nearly 1.63 lakh units with a YoY growth of 31 per cent (approx 1.24 lakh units).

Key to meeting this rising demand has been our strategic operational improvements, such as the introduction of a third shift. This has significantly optimized our supply chain, particularly for high-demand models where waiting periods have been reduced.”
