We had spotted the sporty commuter on test a couple of months ago
Bajaj wants to be number 1 in the 125 cc plus motorcycle space. The Freedom 125 CNG was one attack towards that goal and the other approach will be with the new Pulsar N125. The launch date for the smallest Pulsar has been set: October 19. It is likely to be priced aggressively like all Bajaj products, somewhere around the ₹90,000 (ex-showroom India) mark.
Much like the other N-series Pulsars, the upcoming Pulsar N125 too will be a ground-up new bike. It will share some components with the Pulsar N150, like the suspension, wheels and brakes. However, the engine will be an all-new unit. Expect it to be torquey, frugal and refined, which should make the commuter buyers pretty happy, just like the owners of the Pulsar N150, N160 and N250 are.
We had spotted two iterations of the bike where the main difference was with the lighting system. Bajaj has done that with its Freedom 125 CNG as well, where the base trim gets a halogen headlight while the top trims get an LED unit. Perhaps, there could also be differences when it comes to the console offered on the trims with the lower-spec variant getting a semi-digital cluster while the new full digital LCD screen from the Pulsar N150 makes its way on the top variant.
Whatever be the case, we shall come to know more about the bike on October 16. Hopefully, the Pulsar N125 continues to give power to the masses, much like the other Pulsars do. And by doing so, the TVS Raider 125 and Hero Xtreme 125 R have some tough competition coming their way.
