The Ola electric bike will be unveiled on August 15
Ola Electric will enter the electric motorcycle segment soon and will be unveiling its new offering on August 15. Prior to that, Bhavish Aggarwal, founder of Ola Electric has teased a picture of the upcoming Ola bike. While the front end of the bike is completely hidden in the pic, based on the previous teaser, we can confirm that it will feature projector headlight with LED DRLs. From the new teaser we can get an idea on the proportions of the upcoming motorcycle and it’s likely to be a commuter-type electric bike, something we have seen before in the form of the Revolt RV 400.
The Ola electric bike will have both the brake controls on the handlebar similar to the Ola scooters and it gets a sleek tail section with split grab rail. The instrument console looks to be a TFT unit as we have seen on the Ola scooters and it might get a lot of connected features as well. Also Read: Ola Electric IPO oversubscribed 4.26 times
While the motor specs of the upcoming Ola motorcycle is still not revealed we have seen that it uses a simple frame and a chain drive system courtesy older teasers. Also, it’s likely that the Ola motorcycle will be offered in three variants for a competitive pricing. We expect the Ola bike to be priced around ₹1.10-1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Ola electric motorcycles will be revealed on August 15 and production is likely to start by early 2025. The Bengaluru-based startup initially had plans of malking premium electric bikes but has shifted its focus on commuter electric motorcycles for better volumes.
