BMW R 1300 GS India Launch Teased

BMW is all set to launch its biggest GS adventure motorcycle, the R 1300 GS, in India soon. A teaser on the brand’s social media channels hints the arrival of the big daddy of ADVs. While the exact date is still unclear, unofficial bookings had already commenced earlier and the booking amount is between ₹50,000 - ₹1,00,000. 

The upcoming BMW R 1300 GS will debut with a completely new look without deviating much from that iconic GS silhouette. Moreover, by equipping a new mainframe and die-cast aluminium subframe, the 2024 BMW R 1300 GS looks more compact than before, and now also has a lighter kerb weight. 

Powering the bike will be an all-new 1300 cc, twin-cylinder boxer engine that produces 145 bhp and 149 Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Interestingly, despite the increase in capacity, BMW claims that the overall engine shape is more compact than before, thereby aiding to less weight. 

Feature-wise, there will be a ton of new ones on board as well. Among which the new radar-based rider assist system will be a major highlight which will get debut lane change warning, front collision warning, radar-based adaptive cruise control, and much more with the BMW R 1300 GS.
