The two brands will be brought to the country by Kolhapur’s Motohaus, KAW Veloce Motors

After months of teasing, Austrian bike maker Brixton will be riding in its 500 cc and 1200 cc motorcycles into India on November 18. The bikes will be brought down by its Indian partner, Motohaus, part of the KAW group from Kolhapur. Alongside the Brixton bikes, Motohaus will also be launching an electric scooter from the Italian brand: VLF (Velocifero).

We had already reported earlier in June that there would be four motorcycles arriving in India from Brixton. The Crossfire 500s will be the entry point into the Brixton family with the bikes arriving in two avatars: a more urban friendly scrambler X trim as well as a more rugged looking XC trim. These bikes are powered by a 486 cc parallel twin mill that pushes out 46.93 bhp and 43 Nm while weighing nearly 195 kilos. These bikes should slot in between the Triumph Scrambler 400X and the newly launched Royal Enfield Bear 650.

The larger Cromwell 1200s too will arrive in two versions: a standard classic bike and an X urban scrambler. These bear a 1,222 cc parallel twin mill with 81.80 bhp and 108 Nm on tap. The intention is similar to what Triumph offers with the Bonneville series of bikes. They look also properly retro with the 1200X giving off a more premium feel.

And the final product that Motohaus will show on November 18 will be the VLF Tennis 1500W e-scooter. On paper, the specs suggest that the Tennis is going to be an e-scooter with big proportions but low on functionality. The 65 kmph top speed makes it slower than most of the premium electric scooters that we have in the market currently, like the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather Rizta. Claimed range of 130 km is decent but we shall wait to find out whether it is real-world or an IDC number.

We shall be riding some of these bikes on November 18 and 19. So, stay tuned to this space for more updates.
