The seven millionth vehicle to roll off from its facility in China was the Denza N7. 

Build Your Dreams (BYD) has produced seven million new energy vehicles (NEV). The seven millionth vehicle by BYD was the Denza N7, produced in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz.

BYD crossed the 1 million production mark for NEVs in May 2021, and the six million production milestone was achieved in November 2023. The Chinese marque took around four months to produce one million NEVs. The seven millionth vehicle rolled off the production line at BYD’s Jinan factory in China.

In 2023, BYD sold 3.02 million NEVs, showcasing a substantial growth in demand for its EVs and hybrids. BYD exported 240,000 NEVs from China, registering a year-on-year growth of 337 per cent. This helped BYD become the largest manufacturer of electric and hybrid vehicles, surpassing Tesla.

In India, BYD sells three electric vehicles. Its first model was the e6 MPV which was launched in August 2022 and is currently priced at ₹29.15 lakh. The second model, the Atto 3 SUV, launched in India in November 2022 and is currently priced at ₹33.99 lakh. In March 2024, BYD launched its latest model, the Seal sedan, and prices start at ₹41 lakh. (All prices ex-showroom, India).
