Canva has unveiled its biggest visual redesign in over a decade, introducing a revamped homepage and editing experience.
Canva, one of the most popular design platforms, announced significant updates to its platform and new business offerings at its Canva Create event in Los Angeles.
Canva has unveiled its biggest visual redesign in over a decade, introducing a revamped homepage and editing experience for all users. The new interface, Canva says, is aimed at streamlining workflows and boosting productivity for both personal and professional users.
Some key changes include a contextual toolbar, customizable homepage, improved search and filtering, and improved project navigation. Teams can now pin important content, share resources, and see updates directly on their homepage sidebar.
In addition, Canva launched Canva Enterprise, a new subscription targeted at large organizations. It includes centralized administration and management tools, enterprise-grade security features, and dedicated support.
Canva also rolled out multiple new AI-powered capabilities within Magic Studio and Visual Suite. The Magic Studio now offers text-to-graphic generation, styles & layout tools, and enhanced video editing features.
Additionally, Visual Suite's new functions allow for change tracking, asset libraries from partners like Google and Amazon, data autofill from platforms like Salesforce, and bulk design creation from CSV/Excel files.
In addition to expanding its offerings for workplaces, Canva introduced Work Kits tailored for marketing, HR, sales, and creative teams. It also debuted Canva Courses, which provide interactive learning materials that can be assigned and tracked.
After acquiring Affinity, a desktop design app, in March 2024, Canva has launched a new version with features like variable fonts and Arm64 chipset support. Canva is making Affinity free, and eligible teachers and non-profits can now sign up for a waitlist.
