CFMoto Unveils Anime-Inspired Moped - Papio SS Special Edition

In an exciting blend of motorcycle engineering and pop culture, CFMoto’s Philippines division has partnered with jewellery brand 13 Lucky Monkey to create a unique, anime-inspired edition of the Papio SS. This eye-catching 125cc motorcycle draws its inspiration from the iconic 1988 Japanese anime film: Akira.

The special edition ‘Akira’ Papio SS is a striking homage to the motorcycle ridden by the film's protagonist, Kaneda. Featuring handcrafted bodywork and luxurious brass accents on the key, chain, and badges, this one-off creation showcases meticulous attention to detail.

The special bike boasts a vibrant red paint job and sports various stickers that mirror those seen in the film. These details lend the bike a distinctive 1980s race aesthetic, albeit with a compact 125cc that is good for 9.4 bhp and 8.3 Nm, paired with a 6-speed box. 

While the standard CFMoto Papio SS has garnered attention for its charming design, this special edition takes the bike's appeal to a new level. However, motorcycle enthusiasts should note that this version appears to be a one-off creation and is not available for purchase, even in the Philippines where it was created.
