The Honda CUV e gives us a teaser of the upcoming Honda Activa electric scooter.

Honda expanded its electric scooter portfolio in the European market by riding in the new CUV e. According to Honda, the CUV e offers performance equivalent to that of a 125 cc ICE powered scooter. CUv stands for Clean Urban Vehicles whereas the e signifies emission free riding. The new Honda electric scooter has a range of 70 km and is powered by two removable batteries. On the features front, the Honda CUV e gets a 5-inch or 7-inch TFT display with a host of connected features, three riding modes, USB charger and also a reverse mode.

The styling of the new Honda scooter is that of a typical ICE scooter

The styling of the new Honda scooter is that of a typical ICE scooter with a sharp front end and a curvy tail section. In fact, the face of the scooter is similar to that of the TVS Jupiter 110 with a long LED strip running across the apron. The Honda CUV e rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and damping is provided by a telescopic fork and a monoshock unit.

The Honda CUV e is kind of a precursor to the Japanese brand’s first electric scooter for our market, likely to be called the Honda Activa E. We expect the specs of the Honda Activa electric to be better as a range of 70 km is too less by Indian electric scooter standards. It also signals that the Activa E might get swappable batteries as seen on the Honda CUV e.
