The 60th Anniversary package is only available with the Mustang GT Premium variant and is limited to 1,965 units.

The Ford Mustang has turned 60 this year and to celebrate that, the American marque has released a special edition that will be available in limited quantities. Launched in 1964 as the 1965 model year, the 60th Anniversary package for the Mustang will be limited to only 1965 units.

The 60th Anniversary package is only available for the Mustang GT Premium variant with a 5.0-litre V8 engine and is available with coupe and convertible body styles. The V8 engine produces 480 bhp and 563 Nm and can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The new package only adds cosmetic upgrades over the standard model.

With the new package, the Mustang gets a new design for the 20-inch alloy wheels that are a tribute to the original Mustang. The package is only available with Wimbledon White, Race Red and Vapour Blue colours, while the interior gets the option of Space Grey, Carmine Red and Black Onyx colours.

The special edition also gets ‘60th Anniversary’ badges on the fenders and the boot. It also gets stripe graphics on the side which say ‘60 Years’ and can be had either in Iconic Silver or Vermillion Red. Furthermore, there’s also a new grille that incorporates a mesh design with silver accents for functional intakes.

Ford Mustang Cluster

Along with this, Ford also revealed that all Mustang models will be getting a new design for the digital instrument cluster, inspired by the original Mustang. The speedometer and tachometer use the same font as the 1967 and 1968 Mustangs and have a chrome render wrapping the gauges.
