Google Confirms Pixel 9 Series Launch Event for August 13

Google has announced an event on August 13 to unveil its new Pixel 9 lineup, two months earlier than its usual fall launch schedule. Google has sent out invites and confirmed the event will take place at its headquarters in Mountain View, California, at 10 am PT (10:30 pm IST). The event webpage teases the "next #Pixel" launch, showing a silhouette of what appears to be one of the Pixel 9 devices with a new capsule-shaped rear camera module.

In addition, Google India announced it would reveal the Pixel 9 lineup on August 14, suggesting the phones would launch simultaneously in the US and Indian markets.

Rumours suggest Google will unveil three Pixel 9 models - the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The phones are expected to be powered by the second-generation Tensor G4 chip and sport display sizes of 6.03 inches, 6.3 inches, and 6.7 inches, respectively.

Leaks also point to an upgraded triple rear camera system and up to 16GB of RAM on the Pro models. Joining the phones could be the Pixel Watch 3 and a larger Pixel Watch 3 XL with a 1.45-inch display.
