The new Karizma will be the most premium motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp yet.
The legendary Hero Karizma brand will make a comeback to the Indian market after a long hiatus. It will return as the Hero Karizma XMR and will come in an all-new avatar. Via teasers and leaks we already have a bunch of information about how the upcoming motorcycle will look and mechanical bits. What remains a big question is the pricing.
We think that Hero will go all-out for aggressive pricing to make the new Karizma very competitive. Our guess is that the new Hero Karizma XMR could retail for around Rs 1.55-1.65 lakh (ex-showroom). This will help Hero to compete better with its arch rival the Bajaj Pulsar F250 priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The XPulse 200 4V is Hero’s most expensive bike on sale and it retails for Rs 1.45 lakh.
The 2023 Hero Karizma will be powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder engine. It will be the first Hero MotoCorp motorcycle to feature liquid-cooling and we expect the output to be around 25 bhp and 21 Nm of torque. It might also feature a 6-speed transmission. Other highlights of the Karizma XMR includes aggressive styling, all-LED lighting and it might feature a TFT instrument console.
