Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Reports 12% Sales Growth in May 2026

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported total sales of 5.18 lakh units for May 2026, registering a 12% year-on-year growth compared to the 4.65 lakh units sold in May 2025.

In the domestic market, the manufacturer dispatched 4.59 lakh units during the month, which marks a 10% increase over the 4.17 lakh units sold in the corresponding period last year. The export operations of the brand saw a more substantial jump, growing by 24% to reach 0.59 lakh units compared to the 0.47 lakh units shipped abroad in May 2025.

Looking at the exact figures, total volumes reached 5,18,777 units, with domestic sales accounting for 4,59,611 units and exports contributing 59,166 units.

Just recently, HMSI reached a major benchmark, having sold a total of 10 million two-wheelers in North India. The territory, which includes Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh, accounted for about 15% of the company's overall sales volume for the FY26 financial year.

The positive performance reflects steady demand in the two-wheeler market, supported by the extensive network of the company consisting of over 7,000 touchpoints across the country.
