Hyundai Bayon: Standard Features

Six airbags (driver, passenger, side and curtain) are standard across the range, along with electronic stability control, hill-start assist, ABS with electronic brake force distribution, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, tyre pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors, and an emergency stop signal. Every Bayon also has LED daytime running lamps and tail lamps, power windows, a rear AC vent, and USB-C charging points at the front and rear.

The SUV is 4,245mm long, 1,810mm wide and 1,605mm tall (with roof rails), on a 2,600mm wheelbase. Boot space is 505 litres by the VDA 215 method, and the fuel tank holds 43 litres. Hyundai says the Global K enhanced platform is engineered for five-star Indian safety standards, a claim based on its own assessment rather than a published crash test.

The Bayon enters a crowded and unusually varied part of the market. Rivals include facelifts of the Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton among others.
