The Creta EV will be Hyundai’s third EV in India, following the Kona EV & Ioniq 5.
Hyundai’s third electric SUV in India, the Creta EV, will be making its debut in January 2025. While the date isn’t confirmed yet, the Creta EV is likely to make its debut in the first couple of weeks of January.
The South Korean carmaker has sent a block your date for the media drives for January 11-15, so it is likely to be showcased before that. However, the price announcement is likely to happen at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which will be held between January 17-22.
The Creta EV will be the third electric vehicle for Hyundai India. The first was the Kona EV which didn’t get a great response and the second is the Ioniq 5, which is also Hyundai India’s flagship model.
The compact electric SUV will share most of its design with its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, barring some obvious EV differences. The Creta EV will have its charging port at the front and will also get aero-designed alloy wheels.
Inside too, the Creta EV will be similar to the Creta ICE except that the EV will have Hyundai as Morse code on the steering wheel. It is also likely to get EV-specific features in the infotainment system.
It is expected to be priced over ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv.ev and Mahindra BE 6e.
