Jawa 42 Bobber Range Gets More Accessible, Gains Two New Trims

Alongside the launch of the new updated Jawa Perak, Jawa has also updated its contemporary 42 Bobber line-up. For 2024, the range has become more accessible with the Jawa 42 Moonstone White variant priced at ₹2.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is ₹4000 less than before. However, the top-of-the-line Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror variant’s price has increased from ₹2.25 lakh to ₹2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

Additionally, it has also gained two new trim levels with the Jawa 42 Bobber Mystic Copper and Jasper Red Dual Tone variants now available with diamond-cut alloy wheels priced at ₹2.18 and ₹2.20 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Whereas with the standard spoke wheel options, the Mystic Copper variant costs ₹2.12 lakh, and the Jasper Red Dual Tone variant will set you back by ₹2.15 lakh.

Aside from these subtle aesthetic tweaks, the Jawa 42 Bobber has remained the same. The 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine still produces 29 bhp and 30 Nm, and comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch. However, Jawa has claimed that they have reworked the internals of the engine, which has improved the overall NVH levels of the bike thereby more refined. Feature-wise too, the bike doesn’t see any addition or subtraction. It continues with the same LED lighting, digital instrumentation, USB charging, adjustable seat, and multiple luggage options. 

The double-cradle frame continues to be suspended by a telescopic fork and preload-adjustable monoshock. It rides on 18-/17-inch wheels, with single-disc brakes at both ends, and dual-channel ABS is present as standard. 

The aesthetic update certainly makes the new Jawa 42 Bobber look all the more elegant, and the addition of alloy wheels makes it practical as well. As for how it rides, keep an eye on this space for we will get the bikes soon for review.
