In India, Kia Motors is set to unveil its latest compact SUV, the 2025 Kia Syros, globally on December 19, 2024. This all-new model will be positioned between the Kia Sonet and Seltos, further expanding the company’s lineup in the competitive SUV market.
The Kia Syros embraces a contemporary design language that mirrors the brand’s premium ambitions. It features a panoramic sunroof, two-piece L-shaped LED taillights, a high-mounted stop lamp, and a sporty spoiler. The front fascia features a split headlamp setup with LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs). The features of the upcoming Syros SUV will include flush-fitting door handles, dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, and a shark-fin antenna.
Inside, the Kia Syros offers ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a large touchscreen unit to support smartphone connectivity, and other advanced infotainment features, complemented by a fully digital instrument cluster. The Syros’ interior design is accentuated by dual-tone upholstery, rear AC vents and armrests for both rows.
Practical features like a 360-degree camera and a wireless charger are also expected to feature on the new Kia Syros. Additionally, Syros is likely to offer an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, which could include features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-Keeping Assist, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
The Kia Syros is expected to come with two engine options: a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Both engines are likely to be paired with manual and automatic transmission options.
Upon its launch, the Kia Syros will enter a highly competitive segment, taking on well-established rivals such as the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
