Kia has released teaser images of its highly anticipated EV4 sedan, giving a glimpse of the electric vehicle's design ahead of its official unveiling later this month. The EV4, which was first showcased as a concept in 2023, is expected to be a key model in Kia's expanding electric vehicle lineup.
The teaser images reveal that the production version of the EV4 will retain much of the funky, angular design language of the concept car. Notable features include a blunt front end with distinctive, hockey-stick-shaped headlights, and trapezoidal plastic cladding around the wheel wells. The fastback roofline, unusual C-pillar treatment, and hooked taillight shape also appear to have made it into production largely unchanged.
While Kia has remained tight-lipped about the EV4's specifications, it is anticipated that the sedan will share components with the EV6 crossover. This could mean similar battery options, range estimates, and performance capabilities.
The EV4 is one of three new electric vehicles that Kia plans to reveal at its second EV Day event in Tarragona, Spain, on February 27. The other two models include a production version of the PV5 van, the first in a line of electric commercial vehicles, and a concept version of the EV2 hatchback, a smaller, more affordable electric vehicle that is expected to slot below the EV3 in Kia's lineup.
The EV4 is expected to go on sale in 2026, with a likely introduction to the U.S. market for the 2027 model year.
