It will take a couple of months for the international-spec model to get homologated in the country
After a whole frenzy for a couple of days in and around the first ride event, KTM has decided that the 390 Enduro R will arrive in the international-spec in India as well. It will be priced similarly to the current 200 mm suspension travel version, which was launched at ₹3.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). However, in order to get one, the wait time will be at least a couple of months.
While the more hardcore spec model is made in India, it needs to be homologated for our streets. Even though the only change remains the larger suspension units, the necessary documentation and procedures will take their due course of time.

As such, enthusiasts who wanted a great dual-sport option and a sizeable step-up from the likes of the Hero XPulse 200 Rally Pro or the Kawasaki KLX230S, the larger version should do the trick. Having said that, the current lowered model is no slouch either. It is agile, nimble and very confidence inspiring for someone who is just starting out in the off-roading business.
The 399 cc mill feels properly brappy with the right foundations to make it extremely manageable on the trails. And the only time the suspension travel feels limiting is when the riders’ skill levels are already on point to manage what this bike is capable of. We’ve jumped and thrashed the 390 Enduro R already during the first ride and both came away unscathed. Get to know our experience with the bike by checking out the video below:
