Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i Creator Laptop With Core Ultra 9 Launched in India

Lenovo has unveiled its new updated IdeaPad Pro 5i (Gen 9) laptop with Intel’s current-gen Core Ultra CPUs with integrated AI capabilities. This laptop is aimed at content creators and users with heavy workloads that require top-end hardware in a portable package. The IdeaPad Pro 5i is priced starting at Rs. 1,09,990 in India and its specifications can be customised if you buy it from Lenovo’s official website. Customised configurations are eligible for a 5 percent cashback up to Rs. 10,000. The standard variants will also be available through the company’s authorised online and offline retail partners.

Described by Lenovo as the first-ever creator laptop based on the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, the IdeaPad Pro 5i is also Intel Evo certified, which means it meets Intel’s standards for display quality, performance, battery life, connectivity, and more for premium, thin-and-light laptops. This CPU features integrated Intel Arc graphics and AI Boost. It has six performance cores running at up to 5.1GHz, eight efficiency cores, and two low-power efficiency cores.

The IdeaPad Pro 5i also features a 14-inch 16:10 OLED display with a 2.8K (2880x1800 pixel) resolution, 120Hz peak display rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and TÜV Eyesafe certification for blue light reduction. It can be equipped with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Buyers also get stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The keyboard has white backlighting.

On the left, there’s one Thunderbolt 4 port and one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1 port that supports video output and power delivery. There’s also an HDMI 2.1 port. On the right, you get two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, an SD card slot, and a 3.5mm combo audio port. This laptop also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

It has an 84Wh battery, which Lenovo says is capable of 11.5 hours of runtime per charge. You can also get 3 hours of runtime with just a 15-minute charge. The unit weighs 1.46kg and meets the MIL-STD-810H specification for durability. Lenovo says its body has been constructed using recycled materials. A robust cooling system should allow creators to work on heavy tasks without worrying about thermal throttling. 

Lenovo’s website also lists versions of this laptop powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H and Core Ultra 7 155H CPUs, while internationally a 16-inch model with a discrete Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU was announced earlier this year.
