Mahindra & Mahindra will launch the much-anticipated facelifted version of its compact SUV, the XUV300, under the rebranded name XUV 3XO today. With significant design updates and a host of new features, the XUV 3XO aims to make a splash in the highly competitive compact SUV segment.

The exterior of the XUV 3XO showcases a refreshed design language, evident from the bi-LED projector headlamp cluster with C-shaped LED DRLs and a revised front grille featuring a diamond-studded pattern. The rear sports striking C-shaped LED taillamps with a connected LED stripe across the tailgate, giving the SUV a distinctive appearance. Additionally, all-black 16-inch alloy wheels add a touch of sophistication to the side profile.
Inside the cabin, the XUV 3XO promises a plethora of upgrades and creature comforts. A highlight is the larger 10.2-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system complemented by a fully digital instrument console. The SUV also boasts first-in-segment features such as a panoramic sunroof, remote climate control, ventilated front seats, and a premium 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Moreover, voice assist commands from the advanced AdrenoX UI enhance the overall user experience.

In terms of safety, the XUV 3XO is well-equipped with features such as six airbags, an electronic stability program, traction control, and a 360-degree surround camera. There are speculations about the inclusion of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), aligning the XUV 3XO with its competitors in the segment.
Under the hood, the XUV 3XO retains its powertrain options. Customers can choose between two petrol engines: a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and a higher-spec 1.2-litre T-GDI mStallion turbo petrol unit, offering varying power outputs. Additionally, a 1.5-litre diesel unit is available, providing ample performance. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, and 6-speed AMT, and rumours suggest the introduction of an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic.

As for pricing, the XUV 3XO is expected to be competitively priced within the range of ₹ 8.50 lakh to ₹ 15 lakh (ex-showroom, India), aligning it closely with its rivals in the market. With the launch of the XUV 3XO, Mahindra aims to strengthen its foothold in the compact SUV segment, competing against the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue.
