Mercedes-Benz has launched the new-generation V-Class in India, bringing the luxury panel van back to the market. The new V-Class arrives as an extra long wheelbase configuration only, priced at ₹1.4 crore (ex-showroom, introductory). This is the latest-gen V-Class that has been on sale globally since 2023, and the previous-gen model was on sale between 2019 and 2022. The new V-Class brings multiple seating configurations, a luxurious rear seat experience, and acres of space.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Dimensions & Styling

The new V-Class is massive, especially in the extended wheelbase configuration. It measures 5,370 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width (2,249 mm with mirrors) and 1,909 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 3,430 mm, which is longer than an MG Comet. The proportions are massive and this people carrier maximises space with its boxy design. The India-spec V-Class comes in the AMG Line trim, which brings the star-studded grille with an illuminated surround. It also comes with multi-beam headlamps, sportier bumpers, and two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. Access to the rear is easy with the electrically operable sliding doors.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Cabin

The cabin offers a luxurious experience intended for absolute comfort. Space is generous and there are multiple seating configurations to choose from. You can get a four-seater or six-seater version, with seats all either forward facing or facing each other. The front seats offer heating, cooling, and ventilation as well as massaging functions, and extendable leg support. The six-seater forward facing version offers the most practical layout with the third row getting ventilation as well.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Features

The extended wheelbase allows for large windows but they do not open. There's also no sunroof, panoramic or otherwise. There are window blinds for a sense of privacy. The seats are upholstered in leather. AMG badging is visible on the inside for a touch of sportiness. The front seats also get electronic adjustment and extendable under-thigh support. There are dual 12.3-inch screens for the digital console and infotainment. A trackpad is part of the centre console.

On the feature front, the new V-Class EWB comes equipped with three-zone climate control, 64-colour ambient lighting, USB and wireless charging, and a 15-speaker Burmester sound system. There are lots of storage solutions including multiple cupholders, coat hooks, and more, across the cabin.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Engines

The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class EWB is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The V300 petrol draws power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged motor that churns out 228 bhp, and another 20 bhp from the mild-hybrid technology. The V300 diesel gets a 2.0-litre diesel, also with mild-hybrid tech that develops 234 bhp. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
