Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire founder and CEO of Facebook's parent company, Meta, is recovering from surgery after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Zuckerberg, an enthusiast of mixed martial arts (MMA), revealed that the injury occurred while sparring in preparation for an MMA competition next year.
He shared images on Instagram, showcasing his left leg in traction and bandaged post-surgery. Trained in jiu-jitsu, Zuckerberg has previously challenged Tesla owner Elon Musk to an MMA bout.
"Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me. I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that's delayed a bit. Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support," he posted.
