JSW MG Motor India has teased its upcoming seven-seater electric SUV built on the new ADAPT platform.
JSW MG Motor India has officially released the first teaser of its upcoming seven-seater electric SUV, widely rumoured to be called Hector Hawk. The vehicle holds significant importance as it will be the inaugural product constructed on the automaker's recently launched ADAPT platform.
The company had previously confirmed that it will launch an electric vehicle (EV) and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) on the ADAPT platform, and it looks like the former will make its debut first.
The teaser also confirms that the SUV will indeed be a badge-engineered version of the Wuling Starlight 560 SUV. For those unaware, Wuling is the sister brand of MG Motor, both falling under the Chinese auto giant SAIC Motor’s umbrella.
The Hector Hawk EV will most likely be positioned above the Windsor EV and ZS EV in MG’s lineup, which will also make it the brand’s most expensive electric car in the Indian market.
JSW MG Motor India has opened pre-reservations for prospective buyers across India. Customers interested in securing the vehicle can place their reservations online through the company's official website by paying an amount of ₹21,000.
