Mahindra continues to release daily teasers ahead of its mega launch event on August 15. The latest model to be confirmed for launch is a refresh of the BE 6 Formula E, now with more conventional styling, possibly in an attempt to expand its appeal to mainstream buyers. Beyond these cosmetic updates, the mechanicals and performance characteristics of this sporty electric SUV are not likely to be significantly changed.
The teaser video shows a new BE 6 Formula E Edition in its signature Tango Red colour, though many design details are obscured. It appears that Mahindra might also tone down the decals and aggressive front bumper seen on the current model.

The distinctive circular projector headlamps have been replaced with thin LED strips matching the standard BE 6. A new, small racing stripe decal in the colours of the Indian flag can be seen on the front bumper. Formula E badges are still seen on the sides. It is unclear whether Mahindra will revise the wheel design or retain the visible orange brake calipers.
In rapid-fire shots of the interior, we see metal pedals, a two-spoke steering wheel, and unsurprisingly, a digital instrument display. Although not visible, we expect Formula E branding on the seats and other distinctive design touches to carry over to the 2026 model.
It appears that the overall dimensions and body structure of the BE 6 Formula E Edition are unchanged, making this a cosmetic update that should help Mahindra cut manufacturing costs as well as attract more buyers. Exact specifications, trim levels and prices will only be known at the August 15 launch event.
In addition to this refresh, Mahindra has confirmed that it will fully unveil the BE 6 Sporteq, with a redesigned cabin and a few premium touches, and the production version of its Scorpio N-based Global Pik Up truck. Other surprises in store could include our first look at production versions of some of its Vision series concepts, based on the Nu_IQ platform unveiled exactly a year earlier.
