MINI Charged Edition Launched In India

MINI India has unveiled a new limited edition electric vehicle, the MINI Charged Edition, at Rs. 55 lakh (ex-showroom, India), based on the MINI Cooper SE. This special edition is available in a limited quantity of just 20 units and debuts a Chili Red exterior colour with a dual-tone roof in white along with red sports stripes with yellow highlights. For reference, the standard version of the MINI Cooper SE retails at Rs. 53.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “MINI spreads BIG LOVE by bringing the MINI 3-door Cooper SE in Chili Red, for the first time in India. It celebrates the legendary Go-Kart feeling and instant torque, all with zero emissions.”

The MINI Charged Edition comes with several notable features to enhance the electric driving experience. Each unit includes a one-time installation of the MINI Smart Wallbox charger and a portable DC charging cable. The design combines modern, aerodynamic lines with signature details. With its wide track, short overhangs, and 17-inch alloy wheels, the MINI Charged Edition boasts an athletic presence, while the 'Energetic Yellow' accents add a touch of flair to its appearance.

The interior of the MINI Charged Edition comes equipped with sports seats upholstered in Leatherette Carbon Black. The multifunction steering wheel in Nappa Leather integrates numerous functions while maintaining a clean aesthetic. The car's digital Multifunction Instrument Display and 8.8-inch touchscreen offer crucial driving information and infotainment features. Moreover, ambient lighting strips and spots contribute to a welcoming atmosphere within the vehicle.

In terms of performance, the all-electric MINI boasts 184 bhp and a maximum torque of 270 Nm, while propelling from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds, all without gearshift interruptions. Its 32.6 kWh battery capacity affords a driving range of up to 270 km.

The MINI Charged Edition comes fully equipped with the MINI Wired Package, featuring a navigation system, wireless charging, Bluetooth Apple CarPlay, and Harmon Kardon system. In terms of safety, the MINI Charged Edition includes standard safety equipment such as front passenger airbags, brake assist, 3-point seat belts, dynamic stability control, crash sensor, anti-lock braking system, cornering brake control, and a rear-view camera.
