The XUV400 EC Pro and EL Pro variants get many new features and a new interior theme.
In a year from its launch, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched new variants, the EC Pro and EL Pro, for the XUV400 EV. Prices for the Pro range start at ₹15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While nothing has changed on the exterior, the XUV400 now has many new features and a new interior theme.
Variant | Prices |
---|---|
EC Pro 34.5 kWh | ₹15.49 lakh |
EL Pro 34.5 kWh | ₹16.74 lakh |
EL Pro 39.4 kWh | ₹17.49 lakh |
The biggest addition to the XUV400 is the larger 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, however, this is only available on the top-spec XUV400 EL Pro variant. Like before, the new screen continues with the six media shortcuts and the volume knob being placed below the touchscreen.
The larger touchscreen is powered by the AdrenoX Connect and gets more than 50 connected car features. It also gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as well as Amazon Alexa integration. These screens can be expected to be seen on the upcoming XUV300 facelift.
Furthermore, the XUV400 also gets dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, follow-me-home headlamps, a USB port with a mobile holder for the rear seats as well as over-the-air updates and a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines. The EL Pro variant also gets a wireless charger with active cooling, foreign object detection and mobile left-over alert.
Mahindra has also given the XUV400 a new interior theme. While it earlier had an all-black interior theme, it now gets a dual-tone, black and grey interior with satin copper inserts on the AC vents, AC controls and the drive selector area. The XUV400 also gets a slightly redesigned centre console as it now gets two knobs for setting the temperature, instead of the one on the standard XUV400. It also gets a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Under the hood, Mahindra has not changed anything but the EC Pro variant also gets the smaller 34.5 kWh battery that was earlier only available on the base EC variant. This smaller battery pack has an ARAI-tested range of 375 km and comes with an 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty. The EC Pro variant comes with a 34.5 kWh battery, while the EL Pro variant comes with a 34.5 kWh and a 39.4 kWh battery packs.
