The new offering will be based on the Triumph Speed 400.
Triumph India is all set to expand its product portfolio by launching a new motorcycle tomorrow. The British brand hasn’t shared details of the upcoming bike, based on the teaser released, we can confirm that the new offering is a variant of the Triumph Speed 400. The Triumph 400cc motorcycles are manufactured by Bajaj Auto and have been a runaway success for the company as it has sold over 50,000 units domestic sales and exports included in the very first year.

The new Triumph Speed 400 set to launch tomorrow could be a new variant celebrating the sales success or some updates for the bikes might be added, although it looks less likely as the bike is just over a year old. We might see new colour shades on the Speed 400 to distinguish it from the standard variant. Mechanically the new Triumph bike will be similar to the standard bike and will employ the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill generating 38 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 37.5 Nm @ 6500 rpm. It features a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
The Speed 400 had recently received a ₹10,000 price cut and is priced at ₹2.23 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the new variant to be similarly priced or carry a small premium over the standard bike. The baby Triumph is pitched against rivals such as the Jawa 42 FJ, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and the Hero Mavrick 440
