All available powertrain options of the Magnite are compatible with E20 fuel.
Nissan Motor India has announced that the Nissan Magnite’s naturally aspirated engine is now fully compliant with E20 fuel, which consists of 20 per cent ethanol and 80 per cent petrol. This update follows the August 2024 E20 compliance of the vehicle’s 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, making all available powertrain options of the Magnite compatible with E20 fuel.
In addition to this development, Nissan Motor India has achieved a significant export milestone, with the Magnite surpassing 50,000 units in export sales since its launch. As part of its India strategy, Nissan has focused on increasing both domestic and international wholesale volumes, positioning India as a critical export hub. The introduction of the Left-Hand Drive (LHD) version of the Magnite has contributed substantially to export growth since its first shipment in January 2025. The Nissan Magnite is now available in over 65 countries, including both Right-Hand Drive and Left-Hand Drive markets.
According to company data, Nissan recorded consolidated wholesale dispatches of 8,567 units in February 2025. This figure includes 2,328 units sold in the domestic market and 6,239 units exported, marking a 97 per cent year-on-year increase compared to the 3,163 units exported in February 2024.
Saurabh Vatsa, MD, Nissan Motor India, said, “The New Nissan Magnite continues to make its mark not only in India but also in global markets, having crossed the significant milestone of 50,000 export sales. This achievement highlights the growing trust in Nissan’s ability to deliver quality, innovation, and performance.”
In January 2025, Nissan commenced exports of the LHD Magnite, dispatching approximately 2,900 units from Chennai’s Kamarajar Port (KPL-Ennore) to Latin American markets. This was followed by an additional export of over 2,000 units to the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions in February. By the end of February 2025, Nissan had shipped over 10,000 LHD Magnite units.
