The Ola Roadster X is available in three variants, each with its own dedicated battery pack.
Aside from electric scooters, Ola Electric has also dipped its shoes in the very reclusive electric motorcycle segment. The Bengaluru-based public EV company has embarked on this journey with the introductory Roadster range, which is available in two trim levels – Roadster X and Roadster X+. We’ll be talking about the first trim here, and its key highlights:
The Ola Roadster X is available in three distinct variants, each with its own battery pack option – 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh. The smallest battery pack of all is good for a certified range (IDC) of 140 km, the mid-size battery can do 196 km, while the biggest of all, a 4.5 kWh battery, is good for 252 km of range on a single charge. While the mid and top-spec Roadster variants are available with a portable 750W charger, the entry-level variant gets a portable 350W charger.
The smallest battery takes 6.2 hours to charge fully. The 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh battery takes 4.6 hours and 5.9 hours, respectively, to charge fully using the 750W charger.
Due to different battery pack options, the kerb weight of the Ola Roadster X variants also varies. The entry-level Roadster weighs the least at 127 kg, followed by the mid variant at 127 kg, while the top variant weighs 130.7 kg.
Irrespective of the battery size, all Ola Roadster X variants are available with a 7 kW electric motor. On the top and mid-spec variants, the Roadster X can do the 0-40 kmph acceleration in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 118 kmph. Whereas, on the base-spec variant the motor can do the same but will take 3.4 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 108 kmph.
Irrespective of the above differences, all three variants come packed with the same set of features. Starting from Advanced Regen, Cruise Control, Reverse Mode, Vacation mode and GPS connectivity. Which brings us to their official asking price. The base-spec Ola Roadster X is priced at ₹79,999, the mid-spec Roadster X is priced at ₹84,999, while the top-spec Roadster X will set you back by ₹94,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, these are introductory prices and the actual price will be ₹15,000 more for each variant.
