We give you a closer look at the key details on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 in 12 images
Royal Enfield has introduced the Guerrilla 450 at a staggering price of ₹ 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom). While the full review is still under embargo till July 27 we have given you a closer look at the motorcycle though this image gallery.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is a blend of scrambler and roadster styling. Its design borrows elements from the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, carrying over the tail section, centre panel, and exhaust muffler from the ADV bike. However, the fuel tank features a more flowing shape and is smaller in size.
The seat is a single-piece unit which has a seat height of 780 mm. It is a stepped seat layout but the lower seat means that it should be accessible for shorter riders.
RE Guerrilla 450 gets 5 colour options split across 3 variants. The top model gets a hand-painted tank with the same coloured subframe too. The top variant has two exclusive colours - Brava Blue and Yellow Ribbon - while the lower variants share Playa Black, with additional options of Smoke on the lowest variant and Gold Dip on the mid-variant. Pricing of the bike changes according to the colours.
The headlight unit is borrowed from the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 as well as the tail lights. The bike gets an all-LED set-up with an integrated brake light setup in the indicators.

The base variant gets a semi-digital instrument cluster whereas the other two higher variants get a 4-inch round TFT display. The TFT display gets phone connectivity, enabling screen mirroring of Google Maps functionality on the dashboard, alongside other bike-related information. On the semi-digital display, one can opt for the tripper navigation as an additional accessory.
The Sherpa engine is a 450 cc liquid-cooled offering from Royal Enfield producing 39.5 bhp and 40 Nm. It gets 2 riding modes ‘performance’ and ‘eco’ which alter the throttle response and fuel maps in each gear. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The rear chain sprocket has been made smaller by 2 teeth compared to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450’s 47 teeth sprocket. This has been done keeping in mind the less-weight and smaller wheel on the RE Guerrilla 450.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has a steel tubular twin-spar frame using the engine as a stressed member. The subframe is a new unit and has been shortened to better suit the characteristics of the new bike.

The suspension unit on this motorcycle is a 43 mm telescopic fork with 140mm of travel and a linkage monoshock with 150mm of travel. The Guerrilla 450 features simpler suspension units to keep the cost in check.
The tyres on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 are mounted on 17-inch wheels. These are tubeless, with sizes 120/70 R17 and 160/60 R17. The smaller wheels have dropped the seat height massively. Stopping power is courtesy disc brakes on either ends and dual-channel ABS is standard.
In terms of dimensions, the Guerrilla 450 is smaller than the Himalayan but it still has a good stance and looks appealing. We will be giving a detailed account of the first ride review on July 27 till then take a look at the walk around.
