Skoda has marked 50,000 production units for the Kylaq in just over a year since the sub-compact SUV was launched. Kylaq has been a key contributor for Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s 36% YoY growth in 2025. The Group has achieved this by enhancing the scale of its India operations and increasing localisation levels.

Speaking on this occasion, Piyush Arora, MD & CEO, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India said, “The 50,000‑unit milestone for the Kylaq reflects the deep trust and affection our customers have shown for this product. Built on the proven MQB‑A0‑IN platform, the Kylaq’s success is a powerful validation that vehicles designed in India, both for India and the world, continue to earn admiration and confidence from customers domestically and globally.”

To support the Kylaq, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has increased production capacity at its Chakan facility by 30 percent and enhanced collaboration with domestic suppliers to achieve greater localisation. This move aligns with Škoda Auto Volkswagen India’s broader strategy to support the Make in India initiative, highlighting the Group’s focus on strengthening local engineering capabilities and sourcing efficiency.
