However, Suzuki is yet to officially announce plans to make this Rally Edition available for regular buyers.
Suzuki has introduced a rally-focused version of its popular V-Strom 800 DE, developed in collaboration with the SR75 Suzuki World Team. This new Rally Edition, crafted by Suzuki GB, incorporates several upgrades aimed at improving off-road performance and overall ride quality.
Starting with one of its key improvements – the introduction of lighter wheels. This should contribute to reduced unsprung weight and improved handling characteristics. The rear wheel has been upsized to 18 inches, paired with Dunlop D209RR off-road tyres on both ends, promising better traction and stability in varied off-road conditions.

To optimize the bike's performance in rally scenarios, Suzuki has equipped the Rally Edition with a titanium exhaust system. This upgrade is likely to provide a modest power boost while significantly reducing weight, potentially enhancing the bike's acceleration. The addition of an AS3 sump guard offers improved protection for the engine's underside during off-road excursions.
Ergonomics have also been addressed, with the incorporation of AS3 handlebar risers and the adoption of handlebars from Suzuki's competition-spec RM-Z450 motocross bike. These changes are expected to provide a more comfortable and controlled riding position, particularly when standing on the pegs during off-road sections.

While the core engine remains unchanged, the 776cc parallel-twin powerplant, producing 84bhp, is already known for its strong mid-range torque. This characteristic should prove beneficial in rally conditions, offering responsive power delivery across a wide range of riding scenarios. Interestingly, the retention of the stock suspension system suggests that Suzuki is confident in its ability to handle the demands of rally riding.
The combination of these upgrades is expected to significantly enhance the V-Strom 800 DE's off-road capabilities. Although Suzuki has not yet announced plans to make this Rally Edition available to consumers, its development demonstrates the company's commitment to expanding the V-Strom's appeal among enduro enthusiasts. If released, this model would likely command a premium price point.
