Tata Motors has teased the Curvv coupe SUV for the first time. The Curvv is expected to launch in the coming weeks. Tata Motors will first launch the all-electric version of the Curvv, followed by the internal combustion engine (ICE) version.
The Curvv was first showcased as an all-electric concept in 2022, followed by the first ICE concept at Auto Expo 2023. While a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine powered that iteration, the third version that was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 had a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
In the teaser shared by Tata Motors, the Curvv’s sloping roofline can be seen along with flush-fitting door handles (a first for Tata Motors), a shark-fin antenna, and a criss-cross bumper insert design pattern. The teaser also shows the upcoming Curvv is likely to get the same light blue colour as the concept shown in 2022.

Since Tata Motors will first launch the all-electric version, it is likely to be called Curvv.ev. This will follow the nomenclature Tata Motors has adopted for all its electric vehicles (EVs), such as the Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, Punch.ev and Nexon.ev. The Curvv.ev is also likely to be Tata Motors’ biggest and most expensive EV when launched.
Not much information is known about the Curvv.ev as of now but it is expected to get a claimed range of around 500 km. Like all other Tata EVs, the Curvv.ev will also have multiple battery and powertrain options and it will be based on Tata Motors’ new acti.ev platform. It remains to be seen if the Curvv.ev will get the option of all-wheel drive, as the new platform allows it.
While the interior hasn't been shown yet, expect the Curvv to get a large infotainment touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, Arcade.ev app suite, a wireless charger and more. Safety features are likely to include six airbags, ESC with EBD, ISOFIX and more.
The Curvv will be one of the two new models that start a new segment in India, the mass-market coupe SUV. The other new coupe SUV that is expected to launch in the coming months is the Citroën Basalt.
