The new Amaze will borrow almost all of its design cues from the Elevate and City.
Honda Car India is gearing up to launch the third-gen Amaze in India on December 4, 2024, and ahead of that new spy shots have emerged that reveal the design of the subcompact sedan. The Amaze will have a design that will be a mix of the Elevate and City, while the interior will be more like the Elevate than the City.
The front of the new Amaze will have a large grille, much like the Elevate. It will also get a thick chrome bar running across the width, akin to the Elevate and the City. However, the new Amaze will get its own, unique design for the fog lamps. There is a possibility that the Amaze could come with the Honda Sensing ADAS suite as a camera/radar module can be seen on top of the windscreen.
At the back, the Amaze looks more like the City with a similar design for the taillamps. It gets thh same U-shaped LED lighting elements. While the design of the boot lid looks similar to the second-gen model, it looks like a shrunken version of the City. Lower down, you get thin reflectors.
Inside, the dashboard shares a lot of its design elements with the Elevate. You get a freestanding touchscreen, which seems to be an 8-inch unit found on the lower variants of the Elevate. There’s also a mesh-type pattern on dashboard between the AC vents. The Amaze will get a dual-tone interior with black and beige colours. Adding to rear passenger comfort will be dual central AC vents. The steering wheel is also the same as the Elevate and City.
Under the hood, the Amaze is likely to continue with the same 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine which would be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. Once launched, the new Amaze will rival the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.
